64 PIERCE / SPRING 2016 CLASS NOTES exercise physiology, which were key parts in my getting accepted to PT school. This summer I will start my frst internship. I hope to be placed in the New England area, but it could be anywhere! I will graduate with my DPT in August of 2017! Also, I am currently living in Austin with a fellow alumna, Carly Boerrigter! We lived together from 2011-2013 and enjoyed it so much we became roommates again here this past fall. We hope to be able to make it to an Alumni Weekend at some point in the near future together! I would love to represent FPU in Texas with a Ravens hat! Go Ravens!" Carly Boerrigter '14 writes, "HI RAVENS!!!! I miss good ole' Frankie P so much since I've left. After graduation, I got an internship at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, Calif. I used the internship as credit for my public history minor at FPU. In the museum, I worked in the education department, wrote short biographies for Holocaust survivors, catalogued artifacts from WWII and the Holocaust in the museum archives, and also gave short tours to the public who were visiting the museum. It was such an eye-opening and rewarding experience, and I learned something new every day. That experience cemented my desire to work in a history museum someday. After six months at the Museum of Tolerance, I moved to Dublin, Ireland, for a year where I worked at a café in the heart of the city. That was another life-changing experience, but in an entirely diferent way. I returned from Dublin this past August and followed my FPU roomie, Colleen Ward '13, to Austin, Texas. We are now living together here. She is in PT school, and I am planning on going back to school in 2017 to get my Master's in Museum Studies/ Public History. And we both lived happily ever after!" Tristan Pagliari '14 reports, "Following my student job working at Frankie P's Admissions, I have become one of the Senior Admission Counselors for Pace University. I have been here for more than a year and a half. I plan to apply to Pace's Graduate program in Education." Kenneth Brown '15 writes, "Since graduating from FPU in 2015 with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy, I initially worked for a company in Gilbert, Ariz., called OSR. For OSR, I had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of injuries, but gained some experience working with collegiate athletes from a small college in Mesa, Ariz. From that experience, a company in Utah reached out and asked me to come direct one of their clinics and, more specifcally, organize and implement programs to focus on sports rehabilitation and injury prevention in the county. I have only been in my new position for two weeks, but I am excited about the possibilities and opportunities that I will have in my future." Kendra Lajoie '15 reports, "I am on an exciting journey in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the CGPS in Manchester, N.H., and it's amazing! Fulflling a lifelong dream while continuing my education with Franklin Pierce has been the most rewarding decision I have ever made. I have a lot of people to thank, including past and current professors, my family, and my friends for providing me with the guidance and support that has allowed me to follow my dreams! If you have the passion and determination, you can do anything you set your mind to! Keep smiling and be the best that you can be. :)" Erin Lang '15 reports, "I am currently living in Washington, D.C., and attending Georgetown University for my master's degree in Sports Industry Management. I am hopeful to graduate in December 2016 with much more experience and knowledge in the Sports Industry." Leslie Rodgers '15 writes, "Since graduation I have moved to Dallas, Texas, with my boyfriend Joshua Eager '13. I am originally from Westminster, Md., and Joshua is from Ridgewood, N.J. We met in 2011 when I was in a freshman at Franklin Pierce. We moved to Dallas, Texas, because Josh's job was relocated. Since we have moved, I have been doing an internship with the City of Plano. We also rescued a dog from Dallas Animal Services and named her Nova. We miss New Hampshire and will hopefully be back soon!" Morgan Sprague '15 writes, "Bradley Head '14 and I just got engaged at the start of the new year!! We met at Franklin Pierce in 2013!" Donald Van Nostrand '15 is superintendent of Orleans Central Supervisory Union in Barton, Vt. He lives in St. Johnsbury with his wife and three daughters. Kaleigh (Barbuzzi) Sabourin '12 writes, "Hi! Kyle Sabourin '12 and I got married on 6/20/15. We both are alumni of Franklin Pierce University! We both are teachers in Lynn, Mass. I'm a 2nd grade teacher, and Kyle is a 7th/8th grade history teacher. We also just bought a house together with our puppy in Swampscott, Mass. :) Here's a picture of the house and puppy, and a picture of the wedding!"
