54 PIERCE / FALL 2016 1966 Ronald "Ron" Savarese '66 reports, "I visited our classmate and 1966 class president, Bill Wittenburg '66, in Hockessin, DE, while traveling to FPU for the 50th anniversary. Bill was unable to attend Reunion, but sent good wishes to all his classmates." [Editor's Note: Bill Wittenburg passed away on September 11, 2016. We send our sympathies to his classmates, friends, and family.] 1968 Dane Hahn '68 writes, "Wow, graduation in 1968 seems like a long time ago, and yet life goes on. Back then, I thought that only old folks lived in Florida, but about 12 years ago my wife, Sandra, and I moved from Exeter, New Hampshire, where we lived for 25 years, to Florida's southwest coast. In NH, we owned a real estate company. I continue to sell real estate in FL, a career which allows me to have both free time and a source of income, plus I have found volunteering to be more rewarding than I ever thought. I joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary about 15 years ago and now serve as Flotilla Commander. With my oil painting, cooking at the local church, plus boating year round, the days fly past. This year we completed a number of items from our bucket list. In the last year, we have been to Peru, Russia, Germany, and by the time you read this, we will have been to Australia and New Zealand on a six week cruise (lots of visas in the passport). Plus, I am working on a third book which I hope to complete by year's end. This one is on the Spanish-American War. More travels for next year may include China and Scandinavia. Greetings to all. Still another year before our 50th, but God willing, I plan to be there. dane. hahn@comcast.net" Holly O'Neill '68 , who received her degree from Caldwell University (college), writes, "I just wanted to let you all know that Lorna (Haas) Tebow '69 and myself were at Franklin Pierce University together and have kept in touch for 50 years. Lorna now lives in Pascoag, RI, and has two granddaughters. Both girls are doing really well in school. We keep in touch by phone for all the special occasions such as birthdays and holidays. We still have fond memories of our years at FPC and all the fun we had while living on campus. I do not know how many of both of our classes are still alive, but we do remember most of them and talk about them when we get on the phone." 1969 Tom Cafone '69 is having too much fun to consider retiring as an internationally known professional speaker on the topics of more effective communication, leadership, & team-building, as well as helping people "find their boss" and become entrepreneurs. He lives in San Diego and still gets back to NJ, NYC, and New England a couple of times a year. www.TomCafone.com Ronald "Ron" Wallerstein '69 reports, "I'm semi-retired living near my oldest daughter, Kelly, and grandchildren in Middleborough, Massachusetts. Kelly is a teacher, and our son, Max, is an accountant in Hartford, Connecticut. Our younger daughter, Juliette, is a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Still enjoying life! Go Ravens!" Leslie "Les" Weitzman '69 reports, "I've been married to Andrea for 44 years and live in Bryn Mawr, PA. I'm executive vice president of Park America. I have three grown children and seven grandchildren. It's hard to believe it's been over 47 years since graduation." 1970 Andrew W. Campbell '70 reports, "I am the editor-in-chief for two medical journals and a medical advisor to several companies that produce pharmaceutical supplements. I am married with two boys and two girls, have four grandchildren, and live in Tampa, FL." Edward Turowski '70 writes, "After many years of living in New Jersey, my wife, Ronnie McDevitt, who also went to FPC from 1965 to 1970, and I are now living in Williamsburg, Virginia. All of our children and grandchildren (a total of four) live in Virginia so we have moved closer and are enjoying our grandchildren! A big hello to Earl, Rick (Stinky), Dinny, Ellen, and Cookie! Gay, if you're still getting info from FPC, let me know where you are!" 1971 Philip "Kip" Charbonneau '71 and his wife, Marjie, are dividing their time between Webster, Massachusetts, and Bradenton, Florida. "Looking for info on locating my roommate, Mike Gold." An article about the UYCP, which is coordinated and managed by Gerald W. "Jerry" Scott '71 , has been published. Stephen "Steve" Segal '71 writes, "Hi everybody. I had a great time at Alumni Weekend. If you're in the San Francisco Bay area, call me." Sharon (Bornstein) Stein '71 writes, "It is with great pride that I say hi to all Franklin Pierce students, staff, administrators, and of course alumni! I have been the Franklin Pierce University California Alumni Chapter Leader for many years and say hi to the California CLASS NOTES Carleen (Albonizio) Farrell '71 reports that a few of her New Jersey friends and classmates were able to meet up this past summer in New Jersey. Dan and Carleen Farrell '71, Maryanne '71 & Skip '70 Vallorano, and Jane & Russ Perry '71 traveled to Ocean Grove, New Jersey, to meet up with Carole (Langer) Greenfield '71 and her husband Steve, who were visiting all the way from Bixby, Oklahoma. The photo shows the following: Carleen Farrell '71, Jane Perry '71, Maryanne Vallorano '71, and Carole (Langer) Greenfield '71.
