FALL 2016 \ PIERCE 65 CLASS NOTES Katie Jackson '14 writes, "Within the past year, I bought my first home in Denver and got promoted to software engineer at Pearson Inc. I was able to come back to Boston in June to see some of my best friends, and attend one's wedding, all whom I met at Franklin Pierce!" Photo with Hayley Kelly '14 . "Ryan Johnson '14 and myself, Alexandra Marella '15 , bought our first home together in November 2015. We met my first day of freshman year. Ryan being a CA moved me into my dorm, and from there we went our separate ways. Little did we know, over the course of my freshman year, we would become friends. My sophomore year (his junior) we began dating. Now, four years later, we own our first home together!" Brianna Somers '15 writes, " Brendan O'Rourke '15 and I would like to announce our engagement We met in Fred Rogers' science lecture class our sophomore year at Pierce and couldn't be more excited to start our lives together. Brendan moved from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, after graduation to be with me in our apartment in Nutley, NJ. Brendan proposed to me on our three year anniversary at Pleasant Bay Beach in Harwich, Massachusetts. Attached is a photo from that day where Brendan's cousin was hiding in the bushes to capture this moment." Megan Heaney '16 writes, "I moved to Buffalo, New York, after graduating in May and started a job as a laboratory technician in the Read Lab at the University at Buffalo. The research in the Read Lab focuses on a small parasite called Trypanasoma brucei. I bike to work everyday and I enjoy hiking trails along Niagara Falls. In June, I helped to rescue and adopt a tiny kitten! I'm adjusting well to life in western New York, and I'm excited for whatever the future holds next!"
